Alan Cross
Alan was born in London, England and, in 1968, emigrated to the United States. He attended the Ford Motor Company Engineering Training Program in England, which allowed him to concurrently study and work in his field of interest. He received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from South East Essex University in England and worked as an engineer for the Ford Motor Company for 19 years.
From 1974 to 1977, he was the manager of engineering for Bricklin and from 1977 to 1980, Alan was the chief engineer for DeLorean Motor Company. He worked for Zimmer Motor Cars and then was the president of Triad Services, South, located in Boca Raton, Florida. He also served as vice president of Triad Services, North, in Detroit, Michigan. Triad designed and built ride vehicles for the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park. Alan joined Walt Disney Imagineering in July of 1989 as director of Ride Systems, which was a newly created position. He was promoted to his current position in June of 1990 as Executive Director of Ride Systems, a position in which he oversaw the design, engineering, procurement and installation of ride systems for all of Walt Disney's theme park attractions.
