Between 1980 and 1988 the Zimmer Motor Cars Corporation is believed to have produced, about 1,350 Ford Mustang-based Golden Spirit automobiles and between 1986 and 1988 about 152 Pontiac Fiero-based QuickSilver coupes. These cars were all coachbuilt in a factory in Pompano Beach, Florida and sold as completed cars through the Zimmer dealer network.

Neither the Golden Spirit nor the QuickSilver were ever sold as "kit cars" or for "DIY" builds.
