1983 Golden Spirit #484

VIN: 1FABP26F6DF156001

From Brian:
Having been employed at ZIMMER Motor Cars Corporation, Pompano Beach, FL in 1985 , my memories of being there are all good. My position there was body man, on driver side rear deck and sometimes windshield cowl area to the tip of front fender. I wore my cowboy boots the day Roy Clark toured the plant and he walked straight to me and shook my hand and turned put his arm around me and posed for photo - still have copy of photo. The owners Bob and Paul were great people and the camaraderie with the other employees, fantastic. However, us employees never experienced actually driving one of the vehicles in public, and I must say now that I own one, I have realized the experience.

I have owned a variety of interesting rare and unique vehicles in my life but nothing seems to draw more attention than this neoclassical vehicle. Seems everyone wants to know what it is. People want their picture taken with it , and so on.
Generally people seem to assume I am driving some 70 or 80 thousand dollar car, making this vehicle a way undervalued vehicle, in my mind.
Brian has shared some of his collection of Zimmer memorabilia of his time at Zimmer, shown here.
